History:
The original organization was organized as the Fire Chiefs Emergency Plan of Westchester County. The main objective then was to organize and maintain a mutual aid system for firefighting in Westchester County. We continue to be part of the planning for mutual aid although firefighting has changed so much that we have taken on the job of providing training for the chiefs and officers of Westchesters fire departments. Since the organization has branched out into different areas the name of the organization was changed and we are now the Westchester County Association of Fire Chiefs. We offer training to all chiefs and officers, we meet with Westchester County Officials to offer solutions to issues at the County Training Center. Our officers and members sit on many committees to keep all our Chiefs well informed. Our organization also maintains the Fallen Firefighters Monument located at the Westchester County fire Training Center.
